About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Goaltending? Seriously? in Inside the Lakers

I noticed that OJ's number has been removed from the east end of the Coliseum. Who made the decision and why not give them a large pat on the back for a job well done?
The young OJ and the old OJ have nothing in common. My feelings on it are mixed.
With ALL due respect to ALL:
1. I am a huge OJS fan the same way I am a Mark Sánchez.
2. OJS gave a lot to what USC is today whether any of you like it or accept it.
3. Yes, a lot of us that saw him play have mixed feelings also. That is part of being human. Having said that separate pre and post USC lives and leave it at that. If you have a smarter or logical than that fire away.
4. His post USC life is post USC and move-on.
5. I am tired of hearing of all this loyal and perfect USC fans loaded with glass roofs.
6. Enough is enough.
Thank you
Nice post, ElCap. And, remember that the Juice was acquitted....the first time. Wait, did I just compliment ElCap?!?
Who has less attractive cheerleaders, SC or Arizona State? Both groups looked pretty fugly on Saturday (it was tough to determine who had bigger thighs on the sideline that day, LenDale White or one of our brunette Song Girls - I digress). On the other hand, those chicks in the cardinal cheer uniforms that work the south sideline aren't bad at all. I bet the Song Girls treat them like crap. Any insight?
Seems like (especially in the last few years) a trend has developed seeing highly ranked teams losing games throughout the season. Is this an indicator of a: talent being spread around the NCAA; or b: lack of a championship caliber squad. An indirect follow up: are voters told to vote on the "best team" or the "team with the best season as of now" for rankings? Or is it similar to baseball, where the definition of MVP causes more discussion than direction.
DFWT:
The last two weeks until his verdict was read/announced in 1995 I watched them on TV. As I said on that previous post we are all humans. You caught yourself being human, objective and unfortunately sarcastic at the very end which was NOT warranted.
It's easy to get rid of an enemy. It is hard to gain a friend. Friendship and trust are precious and cultivated...
More controversial song girl of the 2000s, Sarah Carmona or Sydnee Hines?
HI WOLFIE
Re Hazelton, it certainly appears as tho the kid wants to redshirt, and the coaches don't want him to, and with all the receivers we have, we could easily spsre him. Do you think the coaches maybe are trying to make him use his year up,[and then transfer] or stay, and thus have only one year left, beause they are sour on him? I hope this is not the case, because the kid may be a lot better player in a year----and I don't want to be negative, but this thought did come across my mind as a possible explanation.
Could you give me your own personal thoughts on this, Scott? Thanx as always, and thank for having the open forums.
I brought this up two weeks ago and it seems just as relevant today:
Mark Sanchez does not have "The It Factor," never had "The It Factor," and is an interception machine. Can you really refute what I said?
Can you send a spy to the Song Girl tryouts and see if the application pool is going to be better than this years sorry squad?
I noticed Dohn votes in the Harris Poll. Can each paper only have one AP voter?
With our RB's, I sure would love to see Student Body Left/Right once in a while. Any chance we'll see more of that?
If you have the resources and contacts, could you make a BCS Rankings Forecast or Jerry Palm Update a regular feature on Sunday or Monday morning? Something like that with the computer rankings available would be of great interest and likely drive increased traffic to the Blog.
CJ Gable seems like such a versatile back. What past running backs would you say he comparable to? He reminds me of a Marcus Allen type back. What do you think?
How many games to you fully or partially watch on Saturdays, and do you read post game articles about other top 25 teams? I'd like to know how you spend you spend your fall Saturday's and how it influences your ballot.
With USC's current ranking, it's obvious that many of the voters did not actually see how bad USC played this week and simply looked at the final score when voting USC.
Answer is probably obvious, but I don't know for sure...if a player red shirt's, does that mean he gets his college education paid for five years? Might have something to do with the coaches not wanting Hazelton to red shirt this year.
