I understand that you want balance in the offense, but why not start the game running the ball instead of using it as a last resort or crutch? Would it not open things up more through out the game?

Coach, can you assess the performance of David Buehler and what he has meant to the team this year? Fight On!

I find this years team very similar to 2002 USC team with Carson Palmer and a great defense. Can you compare Mark Sanchez to Carson Palmer in 2002 and if Mark comes back next year, should we expect the offense to be more explosive. I love the way defense is holding, but we will need the 2005 offense as most of the defense will b e graduating. I know that USC's averaging more than it's annual score, but there is a big deviation with a few low scored games.

I got a question..Why do you talk to a HACK, like Scott Wolfe since he hates USC, and can not write objectively?

The play-action pass prevents linebackers from attacking the line of scrimmage and being too aggressive against the run. Similarly, the draw play prevents linebackers from dropping into coverage too quickly. Both can counter initial defensive reads but neither of these strategies are part of the offense, why not?

Also, plays with the empty backfield have yielded terrible results, why continue to telegraph an obvious pass play due to the absence of a running back.

Coach, what happened to the short screen to the running back up the middle that you used to run with Reggie all the time? That play always seemed to work when other teams were getting too aggressive defensively. It seems as if that play has fallen out of the playbook. Is this a personnel issue or just something that's lost favor with the existing offensive staff?

With the recent trend of appointing assistants on staffs as the "Head Coach in-Waiting" until the coach retires like in the cases of Texas and Florida State, would you ever be interested to choose the the future coach of USC from your staff and do a similar thing? If yes, who would it be?

Coach, you have stated that you would like to establish more of a 'rhythm' on offense. Instead of alternating tailbacks every play or two most of the time, wouldn't it be better to let the same tailback play for 10-15 or more straight plays, so that particular tailback would have a better chance of finding his rhythm, thus helping the offense have more of a rhythm too? Sincere thanks, Coach.

Coach, what would you tell a longtime USC fan and alum who soured on the program because of your comments about how you voted November 4?

Pacobravo Author Profile Page said:

As a curious alumnus, I was wondering what the top reasons you see recruits choose USC are. More specifically, how does the scholarship and the school’s ranking factor into their decision?
Thank you.

As good as this team is with blocking scrimmage kicks why has USC not run a legitimate punt block all season?

Pete, is it true that you don't give a rat's ass what boosters and alumni think about you voting for President Obama?

Thanks in advance!

Do you agree with this quote coach Carroll??

The best executive is one who has sense enough to pick good people to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.

SCOTT, THIS IS MY 2ND QUESTION IN THIS AREA THIS WEEK--GUESS THERE IS NO LIMIT HERE--THANX.

Coach, I notice the Trojans like to use the play where the QB takes the snap, stands, and fires to the slotback who is standing a little behind the QB.
This pass is actually a lateral, and I've seen it dropped a few times, thus making it a free ball.
Coach, I think this is an accident just waiting to happen. Why not have the QB take a quick step back, and/or move the slotback up a step, so that it is a forward pass and thus just an incomplete pass if it is dropped? Thanx, coach.
