This is a considerable injury. Ayles created some interesting mismatches with Cal's outside backers. Not to mention he has done a pretty good job run blocking from a fullback like position as he comes across the formation in motion. McCoy is not really a formidable threat in the passing game. It will be interesting how much Havili and the other backs are deployed in the passing game with Ayles not being an option.
Will McKnight be able to survive his migraines (what with the lights on and everything) and sore toe (the list of nagging little injuries this kid has had this year is much longer than his stat line) and actually be able to contribute to this football team?
