Darn. Now that Broderick Green is transferring, I need to find a new name that combines a cultural reference and two players on our team. I thus now christen myself Marky Marc (for Sanchez AND Tyler).

Back to business...not a deep thought. We didn't pass against Washington because we didn't want to run up the score. I suppose if we had gone to RoJo deep, Scott would be here complaining about why we threw long balls. And Scott knows very well that the coaches were harping all week about not giving Cal's secondary any chances and calling a conservative passing game.

Patrick and Damien are playing so well that RoJo is clearly the 3rd WR. And, McCoy has stepped up big-time. I would like to see McCoy and Patrick get more chances, and keep using RoJo as we have as a spot 3rd down, big play guy.

I have commented on this for over a month on the site.

There is just simply no reason this guy is not a superstar. Unless you admit the obvious.

One toss and catch vs. Cal?

They can't get this guy open? Maybe it was not Vidal who failed.

Not much better for PT or DW

Well, for what it's worth he is second on the team in TD receptions. And next season when Patrick Turner has left, he will be a starter.

Ronald Johnson is not ready for prime time. It's that simple. Hopefully he can continue to work hard at his craft and become a viable threat.
I was just having a conversation this past weekend about how dire the situation is at wide receiver. There is a lot of talent, but no one really getting much better. I do think Vidal Hazelton has a huge opportunity here and should respond with a major effort after he has faced this season. We all got truly spoiled with the Colbert and Smiths of this era. I know Dwayne Jarret, but he never put in the work, nor did he have the makeup to improve every day.

Keith,
I'm not trying to argue with you since I really haven't heard anything truly positive or negative about Ronald Johnson. I'm just wondering why you don't think he's ready to be a big time threat. Is it his work ethic, current skills level?
