Defending Sarkisian
Quarterback Mark Sanchez defended offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian from fan criticism.
``The defense is playing so well and if one thing goes wrong on offense, people say, `Oh, it's probably the guy who called the play. It's his fault.' But it's not him. It's the people running the plays. People expect quite a bit.''

I like Mark's attitude for trying to be a stand up guy. When he's right, he's right. Although Mark, just try to hang on to the ball and don't be such a gunslinger. Hey, what do I know though. Right now he's leading this team and I think that he is doing a pretty good job. Keep it up Mark. Fight On!
Sark and his offensive staff don't get a lot of credit from the media (right Scott?........wink...)
The offense was quite a surprise for me this season. From not getting much kudos during the preseason, with only one returning lineman, and kicking butt for the OOC games, they have actually come a long way. Sark and the other coaches have done great things so far. Its not the end of the season.
Its not fair to judge the way Sark has handled the calls so far.
Mark Sanchez is a great kid. Takes a great kid to stand up for the guy that regularly throws him under the bus. Like to hear what MS has to say off the record though.
Some perspective....the Trojans have lost one game, only one. If the defense had been able to tackle a running back in that game, SC would still be undefeated. Sure, the offense is far from perfect, but has done enough to win games...and looked really good at times. The Oregon St. loss was a team loss, and the wins were team wins. Expectations are always high, but how can a one-loss season be a disappointment?
