Off on a tangent: I'm gonna go all out and make a bold prediction for 8 October games: USC (of course) beats Cal; (1) Alabama loses to (16) LSU; (2) Texas Tech loses to (9) Oklahoma St.; and (2) Penn St. loses to Iowa.
The next day, as the BCS standings come out, Florida, Texas, USC, and Oklahoma, and Oklahoma St. in the top five.
