Fox Opts Out Of BCS
Fox Sports released the following statement today.
``FOX Sports has elected not to match an offer the BCS Group has received from ESPN to televise BCS games from 2011-2014, and plans to notify the organization by phone today.
``Even with today's vast economic uncertainties, FOX Sports made a very competitive bid to keep broadcasting BCS games free to every home in America, one that included a substantial rights fee increase, and certainly as much as any over-the-air network could responsibly risk. Unfortunately, the University presidents and BCS commissioners were not satisfied and they've decided to take their jewel events to pay television. We wish everyone well.''

Everyone should opt out.
Sure i have cable but it seems tacky. Well, money talks!
What does this mean:
Increases in cable television and satellite tv fees.
Is this the begining of a downward slide for college football? Boxing used to be on free tv, and then it went to cable and pay per view. Now who cares about boxing?
Fox has the worst sports broadcasters and commentary. Period. Their baseball broadcasts are an absolute joke, and when they started picking up football I was really disappointed. ESPN is at least a little more professional. At the very least, I don't have to be bombarded by graphics and add-ons quite as much (I'm looking at you, strange dancing/football robot).
At least this should end a lot of the ignorant 8 team playoff talk.
