USC ranks 114th out of 119 Bowl Subdivision teams with 8.56 penalties per game. The Trojans' penalty yards per game (78.67) ranks 118th, the second-worst mark in the nation.

This validates that if they went penalty free, or close to it, that they'd be unstoppable and thus, AP football guru SW would not have the slightest idea how to rank them. Now we couldn't have that...so in a deal... SW promised to keep the T's in the top 10 as long as someone in the USC athletic department continued to have their computer IT, photoshop SW's pic into the opponnents cheerleader pics. What a deal.
