I'll start it with 7:05 left. Talk about the blowout. And the fact will probably go to the Rose Bowl now.

Thoughts: This "D" is just simply incredible. The "O" played well enough (Joe McKnight looked good, Mark Tyler looked "whoa"). Jimmy Claussen (you get what you deserve for turning your back on Southern California and Tennessee). Sisters of overrated, I'm just sorry the score was not 70 - 0 (take crying, whinning butts back to IN).... and Jabba-the-Weis, the unemployment line along with the Sizzler all-you-can-eat buffet are calling your name! Fight On!

And let me just add... Seniors (all of you), thank you for (4) wonderful years, thank you for the home record that you have provided, thank you for all of the BCS appearances you have given the Trojan nation, thank you for what should be another Pac 10 title, but most of all, thank you for continuing to make the Trojans proud and the best! Fight On!

Well, Wolfe has a month to complain about USC playing in the Rose Bowl again.

Part of me hopes that they give Chunky Chuck the traditional 5th year so that we can beat up on them again. But the other part of me worries about our strength of schedule.

The defense was phenomenal! It's kind of a shame we can't play Oklahoma or Texas, because it is clear that they don't play defense in the Big 12.

Something tells me this team was pulling for Oregon State.

rgryry5 Author Profile Page said:

They definitely were pulling for Oregon State. The seniors are going to be going to the rose bowl (if we beat UCLA) for the 4th straight year. They want to go somewhere else. They have talked about it before, the rose bowl doesn't do much for the teams. I think they do Disneyland and an eating competition, which is a lot less then the rest of the bowls do. This is less than some of the non BCS bowls do for the teams. While it is still an honor to play in the rose bowl I feel that the players were just looking for something different this year. Hopefully Penn St. is better than Ohio State

Plus for those of you who were not watching on TV when the Oregon State score was announced the players didnt react on the sidelines and in the interview with Ray after the game he sounded sarcastic about playing in the Rose Bowl again.

Time for the playoff system!!!

I still can't figure Sark out. Twice in the second half SC had the ball around the 10 (once after O'Dowd was called for holding) and first down and Sark wouldn't run it. SC settled for a field goal and an interception. The next time SC had it on the ten he finally ran it and SC scored a TD. His play calling
s u c k s!
THE DEFENSE IS AWESOME.
Let me guess, Wolf will still rank Texas Tech above us even after barely beating Baylor at home.

There goes SC's chance at an AP title. If Oregon State won and went to the Rose Bowl, SC could have played Oklahoma or Texas in the Fiesta Bowl and with a convincing win could have won an AP title. Not likely now with a Big Ten opponent.

In 2003, USC played in the Orange Bowl despite being Pac - 10 champs and they played a Big Ten team Iowa which was ranked number 3. The Rose Bowl that year had no Big Ten team since Ohio State was in the championship game for the Fiesta Bowl. There was a clause to make the game more competitive so why not do it again this year, make USC face a the SEC runner up ot the Big 12 runner up in the Sugar or Orange Bowl, that would be fun for most fans. Scott, ask someone about this idea. Penn State could play in the Rose Bowl.

The only thing Charlie Weis has left to do at Notre Dame is the Truffle Shuffle! Do the Truffle Shuffle Chunk!!!!
Clausen was horrrrible and those top rated recruiting classes ND has had the last few years doesn't look so good now that they're in college....

I echo what KpTrojan said in both of his posts. I've never been prouder to be a Trojan football fan. Lets
FINISH the job against UCLA and play wherever the BCS sends USC.
Penn State is a worthy foe and USC can avenge the OSU loss partially since the Lions pounded the Beavs.
Maybe Missouri will upset OU or UT, and the BCS will want to send a conference champion to play UF-Ala in the CG.

What? No mention of SC covering the spread??? (32pts at most)..

oh, wait, that would be something positive...let's start another thread dissing the band director, the attendance numbers or SC not scoring EVERYTIME they get the football...

Random thought:

Would Sark ever get offered the Notre Dame head coaching spot?

Would he take it?

We have allowed a total of 19 points scored against us this season at home. Only two touchdowns in six home games.

Oh, and how bout that powerful SEC today. Americas top to bottom best conference. Georgia. South Carolina.

Kidding aside. Florida is a good team. Not sure about Alabama and all the other over-rated teams in the SEC.

sureshot Author Profile Page said:

Bama will not come within three touchdowns of Florida (unless Harvin in too hurt to play).

Bottom line: SC, Oklahoma, and Florida are the three best teams in the country. Too bad we'll never be able to prove it.

FIGHT ON!

MrSam....that will never happen. We were co-champs with Wash St like ASU was co-champs with us last year. They beat us so they were really the champs and got the Rose Bowl bid.
sureshot.........you forgot Texas. Wouldn't a plus one be great this year.
Florida or Alabama vs USC
Texas vs Oklahoma
Winners play in the Championship

I think LSU deserves to be ranked #4 or #5 in the country right now.

Late post, but again, running the ball inside the red zone is what all of the most effective offenses in the history of the game have done. Sark has made his point, he is willing to throw the ball down there. Enough of that and pound the freakin rock. AGAIN, ND couldn't handle the War Daddies and AGAIN Sark got cute.
