Can someone explain why DeMar DeRozan played only 20 minutes tonight? Or the awful Nike-provided striped shirts the coaches wore in Puerto Rico?

DeRozan was horrible tonight, as was the rest of the Trojan team. Floyd's half court offense doesn't mesh with the wide open, AAU style of Demar. The shirts have no explanation. Time to go with Underarmor. A

I think it is more accurate to state that SC was only half bad. That first half the team looked real good. The second half they looked as if jet-lag caught up with them. It was an amazing game because it did not appear that Troy could lose to that team. But if you cannot put the ball in the hole...

As for DeRozan, he looked like a freshman. It will take time for him to get his college legs. The good part is that he may not be a 'one-and-done' guy after all, and just might be around for a couple of years.

That sounds like 20 minutes too much from what I've seen of him thus far this season and during his high school career. Just not a very good basketall player but only a pretty good athlete.

Hey Bruin No-NC:

You really can't talk smack about USC losing when your beloved bRuins got upset by Michigan. So much for that matchup against Duke.

Yeah, those gutties really showed the world how good they are last night. Try to win a big game before you start talking crap. You get to be ass raped every week with your jr. high football team. Congratulations. You must be so proud!!!!

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
