Remainders
Here's the last of the football forum questions. No one asked if the soft-serve machine would be working at Saturday's basketball game?
Q: With Marshall Jones getting some work at CB, who would you project as our starting safeties next year assuming Mays leaves as expected this year? My own guess would be Jones,Will Harris, or a CB gets switched. I hope I'm not getting my names mixed up here, and I guess McAlister could work out too. It's hard to see a freshman playing much like Moore is over at ucla this year.
A: Right now it looks like Will Harris and Drew McAllister. But I think Tim McDonald Jr. will get plenty of chances to start when he arrives.
Q: Do you think Allen Bradford could/would/should put on 10-15 pounds and try to fill the big short-yardage back role that many thought Broderick Green could have been.
A: I don't think he wants to be a short-yardage back, which is one reason he never liked the idea of playing fullback. He wants to try to be a regular running back. And if he gained 15 pounds, he would lose some speed.
Q: Of the oral commits that we have, do you see any 'impact players' for the '09 season?
A: Tim McDonald Jr., who I mentioned above. Randall Carroll would be the next, if he signs with USC. I also think Vontaze Burfict will get lots of reps in training camp but he'll be well behind the veteran linebackers.

Thanks for all the answers, and for splitting up the sports and song girl questions.
Don't assume anything when it comes to Taylor Mays leaving early...it's us fans who are assuming. Very close friends of the Mays' in Seattle tell me his parents have all along insisted Taylor get his degree in four years before turning pro. So let's all chill until the season is over and then we'll see if Taylor can resist all the agents lining Bruce Kennedy Practice Field...and keep in mind one thing...he's not a hardship case...
Scott,
What about Curtis McNeal?
