Seton Hall 63, USC 61

I only saw the last 15 seconds with Pete Carroll, but some of the stats are pretty ugly, led by Daniel Hackett going 0 for 7 on FGs.
And why didn't Romeo Miller play?

Taj Gibson = 8-13, 19 points and 18 boards. That doesn't suck.

It would be nice to see Gibson get some exposure after OJ Mayo received all the attention last year.

Not a single comment about the 1st 2 games, but the moment something negative happens, there is Scott with 3 posts.

Scott, if we know you hate your college but get over yourself. We know you want to be hated like TJ Simers, and you have the annoying part down, but he actualy has talent.

Stick to being a beat reporter for life.

Hey, folks....Scott Wolf knows much less about basketball than he does about football. And we all know how little he knows about football. And now he becomes a fashion expert...let's all hope Phil Collin covers basketball for the Daily News the entire season instead of Wolf. Oh, and did you catch the bit about only seeing the final 15 seconds with Pete Carroll? Is that supposed to make us think he and Pete are good buds? What a laugh.

Lil Romeo didn't play because he is an NAIA level player. He is only on scholarship at SC to make sure DeRozan chose them over ASU and Cal.

I didn't hear the whole game but Derosen was in for 20 minutes. Why not more? Did he get into foul trouble, get hurt. I listened when we lost our big lead and he wasn't in. Is he not ready yet?

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
