Shutout Streak

The last time USC shut out three opponents in a single season was 1982.
``This is the best run we've had,'' Pete Carroll said as USC recorded its third shutout in four games. ``We've played some teams that are hurt. But I always wondered what it would be like to coach a team week in-and-week out that didn't give up anything.''
