Smith Update
We talked to former USC assistant coach Carl Smith yesterday before the game. He said he would consider coaching again next season after taking a year off, either in the NFL or college football. He also denied an Internet rumor last summer that he assisted the USC coaching staff with the offense.
Do you really think Carl Smith would publicly admit to you that he had helped formulate an offensive game plan even if he had? Would that really endear himself to a potential future employer?

I asked Carl Smith a question I already knew the answer to. He didn't formulate an offensive game plan at USC. But I'd rather he said it than me.
