Vucevic Status

| | Comments (3) |

USC freshman forward Nikola Vucevic has not been cleared by the NCAA to play because he played two games for a pro team in his native Montenegro.
Vucevic, who attended Stoneridge Prep in Simi Valley, played two games when he was 15 years old for the club team, KK Mornar Bar, which featured former Stanford guard Julius Barnes and former Washington forward Doug Wrenn. NCAA rules prohibit student-athletes from playing with professional athletes.
Vucevic played a total of three minutes and scored five points. In 2001, former USC center Kostas Charissis was suspended three games for playing with two Greek club teams before he enrolled at USC.
