Q: Do you agree that the past seven seasons from 2002-2008 (yes, that is seven seasons, not six) have been the best seven-year span in USC football history?

A: Yes. I've often said this is the golden age of USC football and implored everyone to enjoy. I also broke it down last year by saying 2003-2005 was a period that will not likely be replicated, as the past three years demonstrated.

Q: I vaguely recall this may have been discussed over the summer, but why were we not anxious to get Josh Tatum back again?
I know the one question rule, so I won't ask any more. My nephew has a question, but I'm not going to ask it for him.
Were he to ask it, it would have been," Is Gable angry enough to seriously considering transferring?"
I told him no, that C.J.is not shy about ezpressing his feelings.

A: I have not heard anything on Gable transferring. I think he would like to turn pro in a year so redshirting does nothing for him. USC never really got back into the Josh Tatum. His grades and the way he left USC probably had something to do with it. He told me last spring he wanted to come back to USC but apparently it didn't work out.

Q: Scott, I think the 'live chat' idea is great, e. g., I learned we have 3 silent recruits, not 2. In addition to these guys,whom you have already said are names we would recognize, about how many more additional guys do you think we might get this year, whose names we would recognize. The more, the merrier, right?

A: You guys recognize every name so I don't think there's any hidden gems out there. I'd suspect USC will get another 6 or so commitments.
