Answer Tuesday (SG Forum, Part 3)
Here's the picture we promised of the new 2009 song girls. Congratulations!
Q: Are you afraid for the UCLA Dance Team when the USC Song Girls visit the Rose Bowl this weekend? I have a feeling there will be some roughhousing and bullying by the Song Girls since they can't beat them on looks and class. I almost expect the Song Girls to ram through the stadium riding motorcyles, wearing doo rags, and chewing tobacco. Do you feel the same way, Scott?
A: I made sure to go down on the field to act as a buffer to prevent any possible incidents. I was not able to check post-game, though, so something might have happened then.
Q: Are we any closer to making an official statement regarding Tricia Pillsbury's major?
A: One of my unreliable friends from Long Beach insists she was not a journalism major but I did see the evidence submitted by readers. I will check other sources this week.
Q: The new song girl squad has already been chosen and will be debuting in January, so has Lori Nelson retained a more professional Photoshop artist this time around to manipulate the 2009 squad's team photograph?
A: We are running a non-photoshopped image right here so you don't have to worry about this happening again. Hopefully.

That is NOT the new squad. That is the current 2008 Song Girls. There is not a single new girl in that picture.
Uh, try again, Scott. This is a picture of the 2008 squad at the UCLA rally last week. I bet one of the questionable song girls of this decade sent this picture to you to throw you off the trail.
Guess we will all have to wait a bit longer to see a picture of the 2009 song girls.
Hate to break the bad news but the above readers are right - those are the current Song Girls, not the new ones. There are even some seniors in that picture including Christina (the captain) on the far left.
This is a picture of the 2008 Song Girls, not the 2009 Song Girls. Every girl in this picture is in both the Photoshopped and non-Photoshopped 2008 squad pictures on the Song Girls' website.
Hmmm, but Scott was sure this was the 2009 squad. Any chance that this pic was originally the new 2009 squad, but then the SG admin photoshopped the faces of the 2008 squad onto the bodies of the 2009 squad to postpone the alumni berating that is likely to come from the new squad debut?
Unless of course nepotism and cronyism once again reigned supreme and all these girls made the squad again? I wouldn't put it past the Song Girls. The squad needs to improve badly and if we got the same squad, then Song Girlgate continues!
Is that Hillary Clinton the 3rd from the left?
I sense a conspiracy at play here. Someone knowingly sent a picture of the 2008 squad and claimed it was the 2009 squad in order to get everyone riled up over the lack of changes.
The mystery of Song Girlgate continues.
