Ask Caesar
Time to ask Pete Carroll a question. Deadline is 3 p.m. Thursday. And here's last week's question.
Q: Is there going to be a QB competition next spring for the starting job, or is it Sanchez's if he returns?
A: We always believe in competition at every position. That's true at every position. Mark's been ahead of the other guys and fully deserves to start but we always want to give every one a chance to compete.

Is there a real since of disappointment that another Rose Bowl may be on the horizon, rather than matching up against a team from either SEC or Big 12? Congratulations to you, your entire staff and all of the players on another outstanding season. Fight On!
With Lane Kiffin getting the Tennessee job, is there any interest or possibility of trying to add them to a future non-conference schedule in the tradition of high profile games against Auburn, Va Tech, Arkansas, Nebraska, and Ohio State? Best of luck on the rest of the season.
How many more out of state recruits are going to transfer ?
Coach, How soon could you schedule Tennessee for a regular season out of conference game?
Coach, you were quoted as saying that the recent run of winning has become 'like Groundgog Day." Please say you're not getting tired of coaching at SC. What did the quote mean?
Coach- David Buehler's leg has been a tremendous weapon this year in preventing kickoff returns, but it's also apparent that the punting of Greg Woidneck has sometimes given the opponents better than expected field position. Based on these observations, would your staff take a closer look at aggressively recruiting premier kickers/punters in the future?
Coach, for many years the spread offense has been used by lower programs looking for gimmicks to compete against the big boys. But, now you have established programs, like OU, Texas, and Florida, incorporating the spread with great success. The top 10 offenses in the country are dominated by spread teams. And, USC will not finish in the top 10 offenses this season despite definite top 5 talent on offense.
The spread is no longer a gimmicky offense used by lower programs; rather, it is now a mainstream offense used by established programs. Is it time for you and Sark to seriously consider adding some spread concepts to the USC offensive sytem?
How did you fool Tennessee into hiring Lane Kiffin ? And will he be fired as quickly as all your other buddies were when they laned head coaching gigs ?
