Good for Byers. He's a kid who has battled through numerous injuries and he's NEVER whined about wanting transfer or to go home to mommy.

He comes from a really great family. A cow-orker of mine's son was a good high school buddy of Jeff's. Hard working. Very bright. Everyone who has something to say about him says he's just a great kid.
Despite his size, he'd find a way to get paid in the NFL next year if he wanted, and even with a minimum contract, could pretty much lay a foundation for being financially secure for life. But my money is on him coming back and taking advantage of another year to develop on the field and another year of paid grad school.
