Ellison Rests

Safety Kevin Ellison's sore knee is not recovering as quickly as hoped and he did not practice today. Wide receiver Damian Williams (shoulder) returned but only in non-contact drills. He said he may not be cleared for contact until the Rose Bowl. Stafon Johnson (knee) practiced and said he felt better though not 100 percent.
Stanley Havili had problems flying back from Utah and missed practice. He should rejoin the team this afternoon.
