Vidal Hazelton on his decision to transfer: ``I'm leaving on good terms with Coach Carroll. You've got to go through adversity and struggles. I went up there and gave all of them a hug and thanked them for everything.''

I'll miss this guy. He has certainly left an impression, to not only the coaching staff and his team, but to the fans as well.
He'll definitely become a playmaker for another school.

Yeah, I am really disappointed in this one. Vidal displayed some big-time potential on the field ( probably our best WR in 2007). And, with PT gone next year, I thought he would be in an evenly matched battle with RoJo for the #2 spot with the loser still getting tons of playing time at the #3 spot. I simply don't understand why he hasn't seen the ball more since coming back from injury. I think this loss hurts, especially if RoJo or Damien gets hurt next season. And, it can't help out of state recruiting either.

DFW Trojan AND Scott,
This does not hurt out of state recruiting. Turner is from Tennesee. Williams from Arkansas, Roland Johnson is from Michagin, Jarrett was from New Jersey,Mike Williams was from Florida, Fred Davis came from Ohio while other great receivers like Steve Smith came from California. This is only the receiver postion from out of state think about all these guys getting or got playing time at USC.
Vidal Hazelton was a great player. I think he was not given the proper playing time, but the problem with the playing time is the offense does not pass the ball that much and Mark Sanchez has struggled. He was also injuried.I blame the passing game for the lack of playing time.

True, TrojanChamp. The list of out of state success stories is long and distinguished. Vidal also seemed like such a classy, high character kid. Scott, there may be more to this story. Any way that the coaching staff, either consciously or subconsciously, punished Vidal because his Dad was such a pain in the ass? It couldn't help Vidal to get playing time when his Dad is in the national media making hypercritical comments, justifiably perhaps, of the coaching staff, right? Scott, give us more scoop, please.
We have some talent at WR, but mark my words, if RoJo or Damien get hurt next season, then we will miss Vidal big-time. Personally, I like Vidal more than RoJo as he has much better hands and is tougher.

LOL, the drama that went with this kid to even come to SC, his idiotic father or step father, he never was the player he was made out to be and now he leaves. See ya, opens another scholie for another 5 star out of state nut case. Lets see, Hazelton leaves, the NJ safety left, Green left, McFumble wanted to leave, recruit Cali Petie, there's enough talent here to have a NC, oh wait, not with this coaching staff of sycophantic children

I'm sure glad that rrb is such an expert on coaching and running a program, it will come in handy when he get's his first D1 position. By the way, broaden your vocabulary, you've worn out the word sycophant.
