About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Wolfeee, did you read the article? This is what real sports writing looks like. Take a lession. Fight On!
Great Article!
But for this fan, I am in no way "tired of the Rose Bowl".
Greatest Bowl to play in, Great history, Great Teams, best parade and great weather!
Winner will be arguablly be the best team of 2009.
One good thing the BCS has done is make college football fans aware of the national base of powers. Now we follow Florida and Oklahoma football because it has an influence on SC.
I wonder who the team of the early 2000s will be? The 70s was SC, the 80s Miami and the 90s Miami. The '00s will belong to LSU, Florida or SC.
Oops. The team of the '90s was of course Nebraska not Miami.
Other teams would kill for an 11-1 season. The Rose Bowl isn't that bad of a consolation prize, but as high as the bar has been set by the Trojans since Coach Carroll's inception, we get a little eager and anxiously await for the Trojans to make it to the NCG.
There's alwayz next year! Fight On!
Seriously, what if we beat FUCLA 66-0, and Mizzu pops OU, hurting OU and Texas. Why couldn't USC move up enough in points as a conference champ with the #1 Defense?!? This is one area where I have an issue with Coach Pete. He refuses to play for style points, as it is unsportsmanlike. I admire his character and integrity, but at some point, we have to play the game by the rules whether we like the game or not!
Hey DFW:
USC is simply too far behind in the computers to catch Texas, if Oklahoma loses. The voters will also keep Texas ahead of USC, because many feel the Longohorns got jobbed, which they did. Moreover, Texas already beat Missouri and Oklahoma, and is the REAL champ of the Big 12. Nope Texas stands ready to take Oklahoma's place, and the other spot goes to the Alabama-Florida winner. Barring an upset on Saturday, USC is in the Rose Bowl.
Is there some wierd scenario where USC could end up No. 1 in the final AP Poll? Alabama beats Florida and Misouri beats Oklahoma. USC is 3rd going into the bowl games. In the bowl games, Texas barely beats Alabama in a controversial, ugly turnover-filled BCS title game, while USC destroys Penn State. Meanwhile, Florida and Chokelahoma both lose their bowl games, and Oregon State destroys Oklahoma St in the Holiday Bowl, thereby diminishing the SEC and Big 12 conferences. It then becomes a beauty contest between one-loss Texas and USC for the AP Poll (although Texas is No. 1 in the BCS). Yeah, probably not going to happen.
Beat the bRuins!!
