About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

I like Coach Holt, he has done a great job as the "DC" and I hope that he ends up with another Head Coaching gig somewhere, but keeping Ken Norton is important. He has developed some of the best LB's consistently throughout his tenure. I know that one day he will be leaving (either to the NFL as a DC or will end up with a head coaching spot in the college ranks), but keeping him in place is huge. Fight On!
Interesting. I wonder if Ken is going to work with Sark as DC at Udub. He's earned a shot at at least that position. He has done an outstanding job at USC.
This is definitely good news for recruiting! With Vontaze Burfict, prospected as the number MLB from the 2009 class, a head coaching gig or DC position for Norton, would probably put some doubts into his Burfict's head. Not to mention other defensive five star recruits from all around the country.
It's New Mexico State. Maybe if they moved it to Lake Elsinore, it would be worth considering. Besides, when Ken Norton finally leaves, we can bring in a great USC linebacker like Junior Seau or Jack Del Rio to fill the spot.
"I want Kevin to play badly," USC coach Pete Carroll said.
For the record, we'd like him to play great.
I think Norton is gone to Washington, as SS's DC. Who else does SS have to turn to? I suspect a limited number of contacts, but with Norton, a proven recruiter who does LA better than anyone - just what UW needs to get back to the upper ranks. Just like the old days...
