Watching OU pummel Mizzu tonight, it seems apparent to me. OU has a dominant, arguably best in the nation O-line. Are O-line was simply not dominant this season. Sanchez got beaten up today. Stafon had few holes. Our offensive skill players are great. Our defense is great. But, an average O-line this year, due to youth and inexperience, cost us a shot at the national championship.
How is Damian Williams? Perhaps a little bit of arrogance in not trying harder to keep Vidal may end up costing us sooner than I expected. There is no 3rd receiver who can step up in time for the Rose Bowl if Damian can't go, and RoJo is not yet a quality starter. But, I think Patrick is good enough to carry the load. Patrick is absolutely, and finally, playing great this season. But, losing Vidal could end up biting us in the butt. Pete should have stepped in and tried to save the kid.
