This is 'news' how? You can find one person so say anything. Aren't you stirring the pot, come on! Four Rose Bowls in a row is great achievement. If it's not a sell-out, then you have news.

Worst fans ever. I'll pay him what he pays for the tickets plus half if he gives them to me. And I'd have to fly out from New York to see it.

The only reason I'm disappointed about going to the Rose Bowl is because I wanted to punk one of the overrated Big 12 teams in a bowl game and shut the media up that has pimped them beyond reason.
Patience, WannyWin. We'll deal with the SEC and Big 12 and the ACC in good time. for now, it's win 6 bcs bowls out of 7 in a row, keep the Pac10 and Rose Bowl string alive, and make room for another #1-rated recruiting class. Life is good. Fight on!

Darn it....another winning season, another Pac-10 title, another Rose Bowl....are you kidding? Talk about being spoiled when people say we have to "settle" for the Rose Bowl?! Enjoy these good times guys while they last, plus last time I checked the Rose Bowl was still a major BCS bowl..
When we beat PSU by 30 pts we'll get the lost respect back.

I too am bummed that we are not going to another bowl, as a Fiesta matchup against Tex or OU would be awesome. But, I will be very satisfied with another conference championship, Rose Bowl victory, and top #4 ranking. Before the season started, if offered, I would have taken this. With such an inexperienced offensive line, I think we have done well. However, it is sickening to waste maybe the best USC DEF ever on a non-BCS championship season, but oh well, the challenge is what makes the victory all the sweeter.
And, am I alone in saying that we are UNDERESTIMATING Penn St? This is a much better team than the Michigans or Illinois' of recent years, methinks. I predict a close, excellent game.

You are not alone regarding Penn State. I recall after the USC-Oregon State game, Jacquizz Rodgers stated that he knew there would be cutback lanes against USC. Asked to compare USC to Penn State, Mike Riley said that Penn St. was the most disciplined defense they he have faced, as they were always in the gaps. Obviously, the Oregon State game was an anamoly for USC's defense.
However, Penn State will be the best defense we play. They allow only 12 points per game. Meanwhile, the offense averages 40 ppg, and they have a mobile QB, which has given USC more fits than traditional pocket passers. They are the Big 10/11 Champs, unlike Michigan and Illinois, who served as Rose Bowl "replacements" for Ohio State, who was getting pummeled in two BCS title games. And, um, they routed Oregon State 45-14.
Excluding the first two games (and the Wash schools), USC has sputtered on offense for most of the season. I hope the extra practices will sharpen the offense. It could be another rout in the Rose Bowl for USC, but I foresee a close, low-scoring game like Cal or Arizona.
But, let's beat UCLA first before smelling roses.

We are not in any bowl of any kind as of yet. We are bowl eligible, but that's about it. There is the gigantic game versus that UCLA group that has absolutely nothing to lose. And, if you don't think Chow and Walker have been working on this gameplan since forever, you are joking yourself. There is only one game on the schedule. If USC plays a perfect game, or even a good game from all parts of the team, then there should be discussion on what bowl and who we will play. If not, then we will have a couple more coaches for the SEC.
