Notre Dame is wearing names on the back of its home jerseys at the Hawaii Bowl. And black socks.

The names on the jerseys were stupid. Period. Socks are an accessory, not an issue of class or tradition. Hell, in the early 90s, we had those tear away jerseys with neckrolls and belly buttons. But never mess with the names. Pete knows you don't do that. That's what makes him Pete Caroll and not Charlie Wiess.
