Who's On First?

| | Comments (3) |

John Morton was promoted to offensive coordinator today but there is still some mystery over who will call plays? Pete Carroll said tonight he has not decided yet because it depends on who becomes the quarterbacks coach. He said he's comfortable with Morton calling plays but needs some time to sort things out.
What's significant to me is that Morton will remain in the pressbox. So it's probably better for USC if he does call plays, instead of someone down on the sideline doing it like Steve Sarkisian the past two years.

let Brennen (cough)Pete(cough) Carrol call the plays. Nothing would look much different. ;)

Does anyone really call the plays or do they just pick them out of a hat ?

you give a guy the premier offensive coordinator job in the country but are not sure if you want him to call plays. must be a really good coordinator (yes-man)!
