Answer Monday! (Song Girl Forum)
Scan through these answers and you might be surprised by a player reaction to the Penn State cheerleaders.
Q: Could the reason three Song Girls were cut be due to downsizing and cost cutting measures as a result of the economic recession?
A: Well, there is a university-wide hiring freeze at the moment. The recession is affecting many, many areas however I have not heard that the total size of the squad was cut so I can neither confirm nor deny this theory.
Q: Is Petros Papadakis no longer doing the PA for USC basketball games due to his speaking out against the coach of the Song Girls and discussing Song Girlgate on the air?
A: Interesting theory. However, I believe he was on vacation and it's difficult for him to do 7:30 games if his show goes all the way to 7. But he did have run-ins with both song girls advisors so I'm sure they're happy when he is not at games.
Q: The very tough and rough looking Penn State cheerleaders versus the lawless and tattooed up USC Song Girls of the 2000s in a fight. Who you got?
A: The Penn State cheerleaders looked fairly wholesome at the Rose Bowl. Drew McAllister told me after the game they looked good to him.
Q: Is the leadership of the USC Song Girls best described as an "administration" or a "regime"?
A: If you saw the face of one of the supervisors when I was talking to the cheerleaders after the Rose Bowl you would definitely say ``regime.''
Q: If you attend the next Swim with Mike in a few months, will you start getting suspicious if you see a Song Girl wearing a T-shirt rather than a bikini top like the rest of her fellow squad members?
A: Apparently, what I thought was simply a desire to avoid the sun must now be viewed suspiciously. So for the sake of the readers, yes I will be on alert.

Looks like we will get the first peek of the new squad at the UCLA game in Galen this weekend. That's my assumption...they always debut the new squad around this time/game.
Yup...the new squad usually makes their debut on the first basketball game of January.
Fingers are crossed. I hope the Song Girl leadership actually put an effort choosing quality girls this year. The past few years, it seems like they just randomly picked girls walking on Figueroa and threw the uniforms on them.
Background checks probably wouldn't be a bad idea either as hooliganism has become the new trademark of this decade's Song Girls.
Well the uniform is what makes these girls hot, but unfortunately there has been a dearth of hot song girls lately. I'm not saying our song girls of the past few years have been ugly, just merely pretty at best.
We need an entire squad of girl who have pretty faces and hot bods, like it used to be. Dance ability should be a secondary concern. Well see in a few days if the 2009 squad can capture some of that old charm, but probably more of same that has plagued the song girl of the 90's - average lookers. And please, note more hip hop butts!
