Linebacker Manti Te'o is scheduled to arrive Thursday for his visit to USC because he cannot stay until Sunday due to religious reasons. Rey Maualuga is scheduled to help host Te'o.

Given what we know about Manti I think we are making a fatal mistake by having Rey Rey be his host.
I love Rey Rey, but given his checkered past and the latest video of him and Erin Andrews . . . I doubt Manti and him have much in common

Wouldn't it be nice to pack the Galen Center and "welcome" the visitor at the Stanford BB game? Hmmmmm
I was thinking the same thing 'fightonforlife' expressed. However, the coaching staff knows what it's doing. I do wonder why Stanley haveli wouldn't be the choice. I believe he's Mormon, and that appears to be very important to Manti. UCLA probably thinks it has the inside track because chow is Mormon and from hawaii. We'll see. Do your job, Rey!!!

Rey Rey the booze hound showing around an ULTRA MORMON, nice one Pete. How about Havili ( Mormon ) or another pacific Islander without the checkered past?

Fightonforlife, you are waaaaaay off on this one. My wife and I met Rey just before the holidays and he (as well as Kaluka) was the most polite person we've met in a long time. Very respectful and LOVES USC. And then there's that little thing about him being a high first round pick in the NFL draft. Can't think of a better host for Te'o.
I think we might want to trust the Coach on this one considering he knows the players as well as the recruit and his family, while you post on Scott Wolf's blog.
Te'o should not play for Pete if he is at all religious! Pete has few if any morals.

Scott couldn't have put in any better.
In all seriousness, to what are you referring? Does continuously beating ucla and causing the bruin fan base to get its collective panties in a bunch = immoral? Please explain.
No explanation is needed. It's obvious trojan envy is a long-standing malady in ruinland.

UT is just upset that their "highly moral" football coach can no longer bet on march madness.

the scoop on t'eo is that he is looking for a place where he can get some national exposure. Can you think of anyone (besides Mark) on the SC team that has had more national exposure then Rey Rey?

Register reporting Burfict is going to ASU. Apparently coaches there convinced him he won't quality academically at SC. Nice recruiting tool at ASU...low standards.
