Famous Donor

There are several areas of the new Cinematic Arts building named after Hollywood legends. For example, there is the Harold Lloyd lobby, the Mary Pickford lobby court east, and the Fanny Brice theatre.
But the one that caught my attention was the Hugh M. Hefner exhibition hall. Or maybe they meant exhibitionist? It's not too far from the Spike TV balcony.

Yes, Hefner funded the archives in the old building and gave something like $2 million to do the same in the new building.

I know he lectures every year at a class on censorship (that I think he also helped get started) and I'm not completely sure but I sort of recall him funding a Critical Studies professorship at one time.

I believe he's also contributed substantially to UCLA's film school.
