Who cares, Pete is the DC anyway. Bring back Ed Orgeron!

I sense a severe beatdown of UW is coming next year when Pete faces his ex-assistants next year....Good luck Sark, it will take more than a few draw plays on 3rd and long to stay in next years game....remember, you're still playing with guys who couldn't beat a JC team this year

As somewhat paranoid SC fan, I would agree with those who guess that Holt and other assistants' defection might have been caused by their sense that the Reggie Bush case was about to be decided by ncaa in a bad way. But if that were true, wouldn't Pete be talking to any number of NFL teams? Aside from the ruin clowns who haunt this blog and make up things on their way to deliver pizzas, does anyone have any insight into the Bush matter?

The insight into the Reggie Bush case was that he/his family took gifts and money while he was a student at USC. The real question is whether or not we (USC) should get punished essentially for the wrongdoings of an individual and his family. That has yet to be determined.

I would imagine the Lloyd Lake and Reggie Bush dispositions, if they ever get done, will determine our fate with the NCAA.

I would doubt that anything useful can come from Lake and Bush's depositions. Lake has an obvious axe to grind and is an ex-con, so he's not above lying. Reggie won't give himself up unless there's a smoking gun he can't ignore, but if there were the army of reporters dogging this thing for the last two and a half years would have found it by now. My hope is that the lawsuit settles, which will mean a confidentiality agreement would be included.

Congrats to Holt. You stand on your own. Show us what you've got!

Congrats Holt! I really worry this is the beginning of the end for USC. PC is a cheater that will struggle without is coordinators. My prediction is that PC leaves to the NFL and USC goes on probation for the Bush fiasco. I enjoyed the ride, but it is over! Dang!
