Holt And Washington

| | Comments (7) |

Nick Holt is flying to Seattle tomorrow to decide if he wants to accept the defensive coordinator's job at Washington. And it means he lied Saturday when he said he was not interested in the position.
``We're talking,'' Washington coach Steve Sarkisian said. ``It's not done. Hopefully we'll know one way or the other pretty soon.''

Time to let Nick Holt go

What is Holt smoking? I'd take the USC job over Washington anyday. I'd like someone to tell me what the Washington job offers that would make it worth it?

I can't believe this is going down like this. I wish he would have left sooner so we could have had a shot at Orgeron, who is now in volunteer country. But now all it means is either they bring back jethro franklin who was recently fired, or they just promote Ken Norton Jr. to the position, either way it does not matter because we all know who the real DC is, and that is Pete Caroll.

Holt leaving won't effect the team much, because Pete is the real DC. But, what if they are trying to desert a sinking ship? The NCAA might be finishing its Bush investigation, and the staff knows the punishment will not be fun.

If Carroll truly controls OC and DC play-calling, then
perhaps the ass't coaches are exploring other options to be their own coach. Maybe Holt just wants to call the defenses?

I agree with uscmike's opinion.Coach Holt might want to see how he would fair calling his own plays. We'll be fine no matter what happens with coach Holt.

Maybe he did not lie. He turned the position down once before so maybe Sark called him on Sat. or Sunday to discuss it again. Maybe he offered him a lot more money or complete control of the Defense or something. For Holt to change his mind, Sark must have offered him something More. To calla guy a liar without knowing all the facts is unprofessional.
