Impact Recruits
One reason I'm not overly interested in Morrell Presley, Byron Moore or Randall Carroll's flip-flopping: An average recruiting class usually revolves around seven or so true impact players.
If you look at the current class that just completed its junior year, Mark Sanchez, Taylor Mays, Stafon Johnson and Shareece Wright have been impact players. Others, like Charles Brown and Alex Parsons, became starters this year. Will Harris was a late starter. And Vidal Hazelton made a one-year impact. Damian Williams came into the class late, so he's not a true recruit.
So in this current recruiting class, if USC lands Matt Barkley, Devon Kennard, Vontaze Burfict, Manti Te'o, Patrick Hall and Tim McDonald, Jr., that's six of the nation's top 25-30 players before anyone else contributes. If someone like cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick commits, even better. That's why Kennard's expected commitment tomorrow and Te'o are probably the key moments of the next 10 days.

Don't jinx it. Kennard may not come, some people feel California and Texas have a good chance.
I think Kennard is the silent to USC. Thats why Scott talks with confidence about him becoming a trojan. If it happens, congrats torjans, another great one going to USC.
Dre Kirkpatrick???
Do you really know something SW?
Or are you just throwing out names?
DK is Cardinal & Gold tomorrow. IMO
Kennard is announcing on Tuesday, not tomorrow. And Dre Kirkpatrick isn't even visiting. This is your only beat - you should know it better than ANYONE. If you need help there are websites such as WeAreSC.com and USCFootball.com that can assist you.

Wow this is one cut throat blog, wolf if you need help with your beat I can have my kid stop by campus after his paper route and help out.
I'm too lazy to look it up but I believe technically Mark Sanchez is not in the same class as Taylor Mays and Stefon Johnson since he came in the year before those players.
