It's Who You Know

Why would the Cleveland Browns hire Carl Smith as quarterbacks coach? Well, consider the backgrounds of the hires made by new Coach Eric Mangini. The Browns special teams coach is long-time Patriots special coach (and Caesar crony) Brad Seely. The Browns' offensive coordinator is Brian Daboll. The defensive coordinator is Rob Ryan.
Everyone we just mentioned worked together for the Patriots from 2000-03. And Smith worked for the Patriots from 1997-99.

OMG you know who else worked for the Patriots? Hint - he's te head coach for the USC Trojans.

So let me see if I get your ridiculous analysis right. Mangini is hiring all his co-ordinators from the glory days of the Patriots and wants to add Carl Smith because he was on the staff when they were mediocre? Your last sentence is utter rubbish...
