More Sanchez
More from NFL Network Mike Mayock on Mark Sanchez.
``My concern with the underclassmen, Sanchez can make every throw, I'm totally impressed with his arm strength, mental ability, toughness. My problem is I don't think they're ready in the immediate future. He's got 16 college starts. I think another 13-14 starts would have helped him. I question whether he can make every NFL throw right now. Pocket awareness and presence I question with him and (Matthew Stafford).

I question Maycocks spelling and sentence structure skills. I also wonder how many QBs coming out of college, be they seniors, or underclassmen, can make as Maycock puts it, "every NFL throw". Actually there are a number of QBs playing in the league currently whom cannot make every NFL throw.
The Donkey reads this as Sanchez being the tallest midget in the land of midgets...isn't that why Mark left early?
The Donkey also reads that Mark is not completely ready..isn't that what CP said?
The Donkey concludes there's nothing new here.
Who cares if a college quarterback is not ready to be a starter in the NFL? I mean really lets think about it. Most QB's even after staying all 4 or 5 years in college still are not ready to make the jump to the NFL. Most QB's benefit from sitting behind a NFL QB to learn the game without all the pressure. Sanchez should think this will help him out in the long run not being forced to perform on day one. I guess more QB's should come out early so they can have this luxury and not a false sense of hope for a struggling team.
I'm sure Mark wants to succeed in the NFL but his decision was based on relative competition. He only has to outshine Stafford this year. Next year he'd be up against Bradford, McCoy and Tebow. It's a nice deal when you get a paycheck on day 1 that sets you for life before anyone knows if you can make it. Wish my profession had that deal.

Unless a team is loaded at every position, they are not going to waste a first round pick on a guy who is going to sit on the bench. Few if any teams have the luxury to draft a back up. The first round is mainly for immediate impact players. If a college QB wants to leave early and learn from the bench, more power to him. But he shouldn't expect 1st round money. He'll have to make the big payday on the second contract a la Matt Cassell. If you're not ready to be a starting QB in the NFL, expect to be drafted in the lower rounds.
It'll be interesting to see where Sanchez gets drafted. Any lower than top 10 and I think he cost himself money by not waiting.

Sounds alot like what PC said at the Press Conference and everyone tore him a new pooper.
Isn't that basically what Pete was saying?
Go Donkey, kick ass!
Go Freelendale, you gained 3 yards on 4th down.
Go everybody it don't matter what's done is done,
as the Jefferson Airplane said, "It dosn't mean shit to a tree."
