Regarding Te'o

| | Comments (5) |

In case you missed the chat, we mentioned that Manti Te'o was met by Rey Maualuga, Stanley Havili, Abe Markowitz and Martin Coleman yesterday. All our Polyneisian, of course, while Te'o and Markowitz went to high school together.
Maualuga and Havili are acting as his official hosts.

I believe you meant to say "All are Polynesian".

Good grammar Scott.

Abe Markowitz is Polynesian? I thought he was Italian?

I'm glad no one is saying their tattoos and identity are divisive or polarizing. Markowitz is Polynesian. Who knows how some of those guys come about having English, (or sometimes Spanish and German surnames.) I imagine it is partially assumed names and partially intermarriage. I know there were lots of European missionaries who urged them to adopt a new culture. But when you have Abe and Markowitz on a big Polynesian leading the haka it makes it damned funny. Unfortunately after looking at a lot of tape I think Markowitz is not in these other guys' league.

Unbelievable. I'm actually stunned.
