SG Forum (Part 2)
If you wonder why I take pictures of cheerleaders, it's to provide some sanity when trying to figure out what Nick Holt is doing.
Q: I have a theory for why no print journalism majors from the 1980s have any memories of seeing Tricia Pillsbury in any of her classes. In many teen films, there is usually an awkward and unglamorous girl who is invisible to the rest of the school. She wears her hair back in a bun and has thick horn-rimmed glasses. Yet as soon as she takes her glasses off and puts her hair down -- which takes all of a few seconds, but it's slowed down in films and set to dramatic music -- she suddenly becomes beautiful and the most popular girl on campus. All the boys say, "Who is THAT?! Is she new here?" So perhaps Ms Pillsbury deliberately put her hair back and wore glasses so she would go incognito in her classes?
A: So that's who the quiet girl in the horn-rimmed glasses was in the back of my investigative reporting class!
Q: When you said cheerleaders from any Pac-10 school can now walk into the Coliseum and be No. 1, does that also include the Stanford Dollies?
A: Tie goes to the visiting school. But I have to add that the USC cheerleaders are the gold standard when you walk into the Coliseum.
Q: How much more official can a source regarding Tricia Pillsbury's major be than the alumni directory? Is that not the most official source of all?
A: I'm worried Ferris Bueller might have hacked the system, so I want one more source to confirm this vital piece of information.
