Status Quo

There was a mention in a Seattle paper today that Nick Holt might remain a candidate at Washington for the defensive coordinator's job. But I spoke to Holt and he said nothing's happened since he initially declined the position nearly a month ago.

While it seems unlikely that Holt would bolt from SC to UW, I can think of three possible reasons he may give it consideration.

1. PC doesn't give him enough freedom / complete control over the defense. No matter what success SC def has, it is because of Pete not Nick.

2. Sark may give him the title assistant HC.

3. If Holt's wife wants back in the PAC NW.
