Answer Tuesday!
It's our pre-signing day edition of questions and answers. I'm jacked, pumped and excited about all this. Oops, Pete Carroll just hijacked that sentence.

With Kiffin and Orgeron at Tennesee, wouldn't a USC-Tenn game make sense? Kiffin is in a honeymoon now so he can afford to play SC. Beating SC would give him instant hero status and the game would be a natural national TV extravaganza. Tennessee has shown an affinity for Pac10 teams, playing Cal and the ruins.
A: USC and Tennessee are talking about a home-and-home series but the earliest opening on the Vols schedule is 2020. So I doubt Carroll will be here. Or should I say I doubt Kiffin will be at Tennessee?

Scott, please bring back the chats they were great.Does Pete Carroll get angry at decommits or players who chose other schools like DeSean Jackson. There was a story that in a game Pete Carroll and DeSean Jackson argued. Does Coach Carroll ever get mad at decommitments players who don't chose USC or transfer?
A: I wrote a story about Pete Carroll yelling at DeSean Jackson during the 2006 USC-Cal game. I think Jackson's outspoken nature made him a special case. However, Carroll's so competitive that he will want to beat anyone who committed and then changed their mind. That's just his way of ``competing.''

I know that it's easier for an athlete to get into, say, Arizona St., than it is to get into SC, and I know that all athletes must meet the minimum NCAA requirements, so does Arizona St. just allow more special admits, or does SC have higher than minimum NCAA reqiurements even for special admits? Thanks for explaining this, Scott, and count me in as one who misses the live chats.
On the weekend live chat, which I read, there were so many questions that it was a little hard to follow the answers sometimes, so my recommendation would be to have them weeknights[not daytime because most of us work], and to start some at 9pm for those who work, and, at, say, 11pm for night owls. Just a thought.
A: Arizona State can let in more questionable students than a USC or UCLA or Stanford. They have some of the easiest entrance requirements in the Pac-10. I don't even know if they have to call them special admits because you can get in as long as you meet the minimum NCAA requirements. Typically, USC has around 5-7 special admits per class.
