I was at the SC-Cal game in L.A. recently and SC won by outsmarting the Bears. But that is not saying much.

Home court seems to account for about 10-points in betting circles, so I would guess SC would have a difficult time repeating its victory. But then again, Cal is not too smart so the Trojans could upset them.

I'm worried that the refs will play a big role in this one, like they did at ASU. When you add Kal's home court advantage (consisting of b.o., pot smoke, and a gantlet of loonies like kalgrrl); it's a foregone conclusion that the idiot refs will not have their wits about them.

Kal has not shooting that well from the perimeter, so if we play good defense, avoid foul trouble, and don't mess up the easy opportunities we could squeak it out.

If Package Hackett punches out Cal's players INSTEAD of his own teammates, then USC will have a chance to beat Cal.

If USC loses, look for Package Hackett to lose it again and go on a violent rampage against his own team.

Since we have the SUCLA folk on our blog, and Scott, unlike the Fascist Dohn over at SUCLA, allows all commentary (which I support), allow me to respond to this latest idiot, UVD. Are you related to the Video Bruin clan? If so, you suck and your whole family sucks. If not, you still suck.

Pick on a guy for a typo-- typical SUCLA guy, trying so hard to prove he is more intelligent than everybody else. If you were truly smart you wouldn't feel the need to wear it on your sleeve.

Has anyone noticed that on the USC boards and blogs (Scout, Rivals, wearesc, Wolf's blog) pretty much anything goes. The only heavily mod'ed USC board I am aware of is Conquest Chronicles, and that's because the corresponding UCLA board, Bruins Nation, is so oppressive and paranoid that Murshed Zaheed makes Pol Pot blush.

In fact all the UCLA boards and blogs, comments are heavily moderated, and dissenters quickly become "Los Desaparecidos."

I dunno, interesting observation of the personalities of the two fan bases.
