Fight Club Update
The post-game altercation between Daniel Hackett and Dwight Lewis apparently started when a friend of Lewis yelled at Hackett after the Trojans' loss to Washington on Saturday night, according to sources. Hackett returned to the court about 20 minutes after the game and sought the fan. That led to Lewis returning to the court and the ensuing altercation.
Hackett needs to be kicked off the team. This thug behavior has no place at USC.
Lewis' friend should be taken behind the woodshed for a stern talking too. Lewis is a C player at best. His weak play is the key deficiency to this year's team. Hackett is virtually carrying this team on his shoulders with help from Demar and less help from Taj, who is also only a B player. This team suffers from a lack of talent. But, we do have one of our best recruiting classes ever shaping up, so the future is bright.
Hackett's Dad should get involved.

Look. Both Hackett and Lewis are C players. Lewis is just plain sorry and soft. Hackett at least has heart, and works hard. He is being asked to play out of position, he is nothing more or nothing less than a role player that is questionable at best as a point guard, does not shoot really well, and has questionable quickness. Lewis is just soft and can only shoot at times. They need some toughness. For Lewis to flip off one of his own teammates is a joke....put his ass on the bench.
This team lacks leadership and control, and that comes from the top

If we all promise to stop be so childish and trying to negate people's comments for typos, than we can all stop the post posting spell checks and get on with our lives. Deal?
Daniel plays with heart but he is not a good player, his offense is terrible. Horrible. He looks lost out there and he is supposed to be the f'ing pointguard, the guy who actually knows whats going on. If he can't play the position, put someone else in, I'm not buying this 'we're asking him to play out of his position' bs. We pass the ball around the perimeter for 30 seconds than rush to get a shot off every f'ing time down the court, regardless who is in. It's getting unwatchably bad.
Lewis has shown an ability to play well, to take over games even, but he's way too inconsistent. The guy doesn't show up at all some nights.
I would say let's kick them both off, but then we would probably lose recruits becuase bs like this and what goes on with the footie team gives kids the impression that they can get away with whatever they want at SC. And they're probably right.
Whatever though, our footie team is still sick as hell and the basketball team can give me an excuse to get drunk on thursdays while sucking at the same time, so I'm good.
