How The Other Half Lives

This is a little better than paying $175 at the Galen Center.

``Georgia Tech's Football Signing Day Celebration will be held this Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. in Atlantic Station's Twelve Hotel.
``The Yellow Jacket football coaching staff, led by head coach Paul Johnson, will discuss and preview the newest additions to the roster at the event. Signing Day is the first day football prospects can sign letters of intent and the entire recruiting class should be complete prior to the Celebration.
``Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:00 p.m. Light appetizers and a cash bar will be available. Admission is $10. Atlantic Station offers two hours of free parking in its underground lots.''

$10 for information about Georgia Tech recruits sounds a little overpriced to me...

Bruins meeting at the Westwood IHOP. $3.99 gets you a short stack and an autographed pic of Toma. Rick and Norm are working the griddle.

A $175 donation to UCLA football buys you a 5 min. helicopter ride with Slick and coupon for 10% off at Falafel King (offer valid on Tuesdays only).

This was an interesting post till I realized Scott was making a comparison between USC's NFL talent rich signing day and Georgia Tech's.

Georgia Tech's best recruit is a 4-star DT. Which BTW is their only 4 star or higher recruit. I'm surprised they expect people to pay $10. What do they talk about after talking about that kid? How hard it is to finish 5th in their conference this year?

In the South they pack those things out as they are so into it. Kind of sad really.

$175 could be just to get better ice cream machines at all our facilities to meet SW's needs.

$165 goes to the following USC programs:

(i) Trojan FB Players' Legal Defense Fund
(ii) LLoyd Lake Hu$h Money Settlement Fund
(iii) Recruits per diem and "extras"
