Jersey Rule
In response the USC-UCLA jersey issue last season, the NCAA football rules committee approved a provision allowing both teams to wear colored jerseys in games when there is a clear contrast in color and only if both teams agree.
The agreement is also subject to conference approval. If there is not an agreement, the visiting team would wear white jerseys.
The proposal does not become official until it is passed by the NCAA's oversight committee next month.

This is truly astounding news. This is the first time in recent memory that I can recall the NCAA using common sense in quickly adopting a rule which enriches the feel of the game, is fun for both the fans & players and didn't take 10 years in committee to get passed. Hopefully the university presidents won't weigh in with thoughts about the color selections being too much of an additional burden on the student-athletes and have this revoked. Maybe someone can tell them that this will help them sell more jerseys in both colors.
Little Slick Rick's time out is helping to fill MY passion bucket. Who woulda thunk it?
Technically fucla could wear their blue jerseys at all away games unless they play North Carolina. I hope they keep it to the USC game to keep it special.
Word just in from Tom Hansen, "The Pac-10 has no interest in a colored jerseys system".
