Here's more from Mel Kiper on Mark Sanchez's draft situation and how he compares to Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford.
``Stafford's not quite as instinctive as Sanchez, but Sanchez doesn't have the arm that Stafford does.
``Both have qualities that you like and they have something that bothers you a bit. Someone is going to roll the dice on these quarterbacks, whether it's the Lions at No. 1, Kansas City at No. 3 or San Francisco at No. 10.
``And the Jets might be looking at a quarterback unless they like Brett Ratliff enough. In terms of Stafford and Sanchez, they are going to have high grades. Hopefully both of them turn out to be good quarterbacks. Both are going to end up going to teams that aren't very good probably and be asked to be very good early in their career. Can they handle it? We will see."
I have seen Stafford a few times, and no doubt, he as a gun. But, I am not so sure that his arm is better than Mark's. Sanchez has a pistolero too!

Well, no wonder Sanchez wanted to come out early if he was going to be a Top-10 pick. I mean, BMOC with campus teenage girls, or instant multi-milllionaire? Most of the testosterone-generated posters and Wolf would opt for the former, but the smart money would be on the latter. Good decision, Mark, and Godspeed.
And what is so great about Cushing's jump? I too have a 4.7 inch vertical jump. Oh, you said 47. That only means he has better genes than I have.
I'm with DFWT on his assessment. Mark may not have a "true" cannon, but his arm strength is every bit equal to that of Stafford. Fight On!
I think many people forgot how strong of an arm Sanchez has, the offensive plays were so conservative most of the time.
I read somewhere that if available, the New York Jets would take him at #17. That really wouldn't be too a situation to be in, they did pretty well the first half of the season before Favre slowed down.
My two cents:
I have read from some people at Mission Viejo that saw both Carson and Mark indicating that their arm strengths are very close. If I'm NOT mistaken MV HS coach Johnson is included in that group. DFWT Mark is either a pistolero or has a pistola, please? Jack Del Rio for the most part is pretty loyal to USC players. I'd dare to say if available he might take Mark despite the fact that Jacksonville has other needs. If he doesn't take Mark, he'll snatch Rey. I'm still hoping my 49ers take him!

I see that brokenfacemask.com blog was taken down after it was revealed to have been a whole lot of lies and absurd conspiracies. The author of that blog was threatened with numerous lawsuits for libel and he immediately removed everything from that blog and shut it down permanently. That is precisely why he had been banned from USC events. He's a fraud and a liar.
And who does he have to thank for his blog being shut down after two days when it had been online for several years? The idiot captain, of course. It was only because you linked to it dozens of times that people went there and discovered his lies. It was because of you he was threatened with libel lawsuits for his lies. If you had said nothing, his blog would still be up there for everyone to read, lies and all.
