As of now, it's how Tim Floyd is losing control of the program.
OC register is reporting tension in the locker room after the loss. Hackett is feeling it, and to be honest, I feel for him. The kid is playing out of position.
Two guards playing for the past two team we face, Thomspon and Overton, would have been great additions to this team. But Overton de-committed because of the Mayo commit and Floyd did absolutely nothing to stop him.
Floyd wasted a scholie on Lil' Romeo instead of offering Thompson. (Forget that Malik Story yarn Floyd is spinning, Story is shooting guard. The scholie to Lil' Romeo should have gone to Thompson.)
Now that ESPN package deal story is coming up.
Not sure why Hackett has to be the fall guy for this season. He doesn't deserve it.
This team is cooked. Stick a fork in them. Maybe they'll beat Stanford at the Farm, probably not. No way they'll beat both Stanford and Cal, especially on the road.
All those package deals just to finish .500 in the conference and lose in the first round in the NIT.
The fall guy should be Timmy Floyd.
This is the rub: So Hackett is not counted as a scholarship. Okay fine. Smelly, but legal. But who's taking that extra scholarship. Donte Smith? Percy Miller? Mamadou Diarra? What a freakin' joke.
But hey, we got this "great" recruiting class. Renaldo Sidney. But "Big Baby II" hasn't even taken the SAT yet. But we got three forwards committed. Yup, that's what we need, more athletic forwards who can't shoot or handle the ball. But what about in 2010-11, when Gary Franklin shows up? Dwayne Polee, Jr. (another package looking deal) or in 2011-12 when Ryan Boatright comes in? Listen, with the House of Cards that is the Castle Floyd, I'd be surprised if any of them show up.

Solomon Hill is actually going to play some PG and is quite versatile, Noel Johnson can play shooting guard or small forward, and Derek Williams is a combo forward. Gerrity transferred in to play PG, and look for O'Connor to commit as another PG. Add Sydney, and this looks like our best class ever.
