Parental Control
One of the more interesting comments yesterday from Pete Carroll was that five recruits' decisions were based on the wishes of their parents, ``in both directions,'' meaning some who chose USC and some who did not. We'll let you speculate who they were.

Egads, what century are we living in? My speculation on who they are is that each and every one of these parents is a major pain in the ass.
Let's see:
Against USC is easy:
Te'o (Parents are conservative and concerned that if Manti took a mission he'd be buried in the SC depth chart if he came back.)
Carroll: Mom liked UCLA better.
Jeffrey: Playing closer to home
For USC takes a little guess work. Since Carroll made those comments before straggers like Vehikite and Starling came in.
Moore: Playing closer to home.
Hall: Closer to home. He flirted with Washington at the last minute. Maybe Boyd as well, for the same reasons.
imagine that... parents guiding their kids in choosing a college. how dare they.
There's guiding and there's deciding. These are scholarship athletes, so money is not an issue. Many of them are legal adults. Especially after Dexter Hazelton, Caesar should know that he's doing himself a favor giving the overly involved parents to other programs.
