Post-Practice Reaction
Here's DeMar DeRozan following today's practice:
``One thing they stressed was just don't let this tear us apart, just let this bring us closer together and we keep moving on from that. Adversity can either make you or break you and in this instance we could tell by today's practice it really made us. We came out here hard like it was the first day of practice.''

Actually, I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill here. But then again, that is why newspapers and sports writers will be a thing of the past quite soon. Newspapers are a dying industry. Also, I've read reports of this incident in the L.A. Times, and they don't seem to be blowing it up out of proportion like it is here in the Daily News. Doesn't matter anyways, because soon the Daily News will be using AP and stringers to cover most sports, including the home teams. Even worse, the Daily News will be history soon, too.
I don't think newspapers have a bright future either, but what did they ever do to you? In my opinion, DeRozen's comments were very mature.
The Washington game was very important to SC, a home game where they were slight favorites, and a game they probably needed to have a chance at the NCAA tournament. Outside of Hackett no Trojan played well. There was plenty of blame to go around. The boys obviously overreacted by jawing at each other a little bit. But I have seen worse. And it sounds as if the Trojans have put it behind them and perhaps it will even motivate them to give it their best to sweep the Bay Area starting tomorrow.
One comment on newspapers. I for one will dearly miss them. Getting my L.A. Times very early each morning is the way I have always started my day. I don't watch t.v. so I get my news first thing in the morning. Reading it on a computer screen is not as intimate and it is slower reading. Long live the newspaper.
