SG Update
I bumped into former USC song Keli Snyder tonight, which gave me a chance to tell her how popular she's become on this blog. She's doing quite well working at at Channel 2 and recently interviewed for a job with ESPN.com. Since many of you have asked, she said she has no idea why she was not selected for the new squad.
It's probably for the best, since she seems to be moving on to bigger and better things.
An interesting side note. Keli said she met Tricia Pillsbury during the homecoming weekend and said Tricia told her that Keli reminded her of herself when she was song girl in the 1980's.

Keli and Tricia together. My head is spinning!
The Great Pillsbury has spoken.
Keli is The Annointed One.
The Donkey has noticed that Keli always looked better out of song girl uniform and determined make up made the difference. The Donkey asks Scott to directly address the make up issue.
You are now pronounced the Viagra three stooges...
Captain Idiot:
I see that brokenfacemask.com blog was taken down after it was revealed to have been a whole lot of lies and absurd conspiracies. The author of that blog was threatened with numerous lawsuits for libel and he immediately removed everything from that blog and shut it down permanently. That is precisely why he had been banned from USC events. He's a fraud and a liar.
And who does he have to thank for his blog being shut down after two days when it had been online for several years? The idiot captain, of course. It was only because you linked to it dozens of times that people went there and discovered his lies. It was because of you he was threatened with libel lawsuits for his lies. If you had said nothing, his blog would still be up there for everyone to read, lies and all.
Congratulations, you are officially the most stupid person on earth who believes anything on the Internet.
Broken Facemask, R.I.P.
Ha! Ha! Ha! I laugh in the idiot captain's face!
Private Bernard, I'm sorry to say you are the idiot.
I think Tricia Pillsbury should take over the squad. But I believe Lori Nelson will not be giving up her tiara anytime soon and will continue to bestow gifts of Song Girl membership to her subjects in the Palos Verdes kingdom.
You remind me of Tricia Pilsbury Wolf-bag.
You fart smeller.
"bumped into" = stalked outside her apartment
WAIT, Keli is at CBS2! Holy Cow, I have a big in with her now, since I work for CBS Interactive and we are both under the same corporate umbrella. Yeah, like that's going to do me any good. I'm just living in a complete fantasy world. Fight On!
There is no substitute for The Pillsbury!!!
Don't place women on such a high pedestal. The good-looking ones are not necessarily conceited and many times are quite approachable if you can relax and just be yourself. And pick-up lines like "You must be a model," will fall flat. Better to say something in context with the situation. Finally, make her laugh, it is the best way to get "in" with women.
This advice was freely given by the man who knows nothing about women except for what he has learned the past year from all the knowledgable SC posters.
God bless them all, every last one of them.
Lawyer John (still a stupid handle) should stick to the only thing he knows anything about - donkeys. Leave the women to the real men.
Wow, 3 insults in 1 1/2 lines. That may be a Scott Wolf blog record.
Perhaps some posters should not take themselves so seriously.
Just sayin
Lawyer John < Busboy Jose
I think Lawyer John is equally embarrassed of the Song Girls and their aesthetic shortcomings, but still feels a strong sense of loyalty to the Song Girls (of the Glory Days era) and is trying to deflect all valid criticism of the squad by turning everything into some mocked piety about objectifying women.
It's all very transparent. I think he's truly embarrassed that the Song Girls of this decade are indeed aesthetically-challenged and is trying to deflect all criticism by saying that women shouldn't be objectified, or that other squads in the Pac 10 are equally horrible (totally inaccurate - Oregon, UCLA, and ASU's squads blow the Song Girls out).
The bottom line is, girls who try out for the squad are aware that they will be celebrated for their beauty in trying to represent the university.
But it goes both ways...if you can not cut it as a Song Girl and you are whining about being criticized, then you probably shouldn't try out to begin with.
Lawyer John, your valiant effort to protect the Song Girls have fallen flat. Are you related to any of the Song Girls of this decade? Serious question. It's obvious the squads have been aesthetically indefensible, save for Keli and a handful of members from an entire decade.
LJ = The Pickup Artist. Drop some negs and look for IOIs.
And JamesUSC99 is just such an outstanding handle.LOL
