congrats to both Te'o and ND.
Its a loss for us, but I'm happy for him. I wish him the most success in South Bend. He seems like a real good kid.

Awesome. Great news for the Pac X. Not sure I like his decision, though. If I'm the #1 LB in the nation I'd go to U$C. I certainly wouldn't go to Notre Dumb.

I guess good ol' Kenny Norton is not that good of a recruiter. First, Kenny loses Morrell Presley to UCLA. Petey throws a fit. Now, Kenny loses Manti Te'o to Notre Dame.
I agree with Scott Wolf. Kenny Norton is USC's highest paid cheerleader. Norton simply CANNOT CLOSE THE DEAL.

I wish we could've got him but we'll be fine if Gallipo,& Brown can stay healthy.I'm glad Te'o,& Burfict are going to schools we play every year because that will add something extra to the games.
I guess the red carpet in front of Heritage Hall and the limousine ride did not impress Manti T'eo. Kenny Norton should have taped up his fingers for Te'o official visit. Maybe that would've helped.

T'eo is a bigger loss since Burfict is just too stupid to get in at SC. We won't see the impact of this until 2012 when he gets back from mission. Charlie will be fired by then and T'eo will be able to choose another school without sitting out since he already will have sat out 2 years.

You have to respect Manti's decision. He and his family knew that coming to USC would have meant he was not going on his Mormon Mission. Weis will put him on the field immediately, so at least he will get a taste of Divison I football before he goes.
In Manti's case Faith was more important than football, and ND will encourage him in his Faith. Let's just hope the Domers don't land him in a 12 step program before the snow melts next year!

Loco, it did seem that faith was his driving decision. But, in that case, why didn't he just stick with BYU. Did Bronco really pull his scholarship offer? I just find that hard to believe. Manti repeatedly talked about Charlie Weis. Newsflash, Charlie will not be there in 2012 when Manti actually becomes a football contributor. Notre Dame is cold, catholic, and has coaching turmoil. I'm pretty shocked by Manti's decision. Vontaze is going to be an academic casualty too. I'm thrilled about Jones, Telfort, and Simmons, but it seems like PC should have had more backup candidates at LB.

My sources say Weiss will be bought out and that former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden will become the next head coach of the Golden Domers, despite Blue and Gold Illustrated trying to squash the "rumors".

Wasn't it reported that Manti mixed feelings about his visit to BYU? He said it felt "too comfortable" and he wanted to be "challenged."
At ND he'll be challenged allright! Bad coaching from Fat Chawley and Co, middle of nowhere, beer soaked dorm life, 98% Catholics (obnoxious elites mostly), rusty little South Bend, and frozen tundra. Any questions?

Doesn't make any sense to me. Oh well everyone has their own preference. Same reason you see ford focus and toyota echoes on the road. Some have weird taste
