Top College Cities?
Ann Arbor, Mich., leads Forbes magazine's Top 10 College Sports Cities in a recent report based on competitive success of university teams, the NACDA Director's Cup standings, real estate value, and quality of life.
The rest of the Top 10 cities Palo Alto, Calif., Madison, Wis., Columbia, Mo., Durham, N.C., Chapel Hill, N.C., Cambridge, Mass., Austin, Texas, San Francisco, Calif., and Bloomington, Ind.
I'm not sure how Palo Alto and San Francisco were considered seperately in this study, but I guess they didn't take into account that few people really seem to care about college sports in the Bay Area, especially compared to the 49ers and Raiders.

I hate those Forbes lists. They are meaningless by every measure and they exist solely to inflate their's and Yahoo's hit counts because people love Top Ten's and people also love to click through pretty pictures.
Right...
They should take a look at any of the SBN Nation Bay Area blogs for both Pro and College sports...they have a TON of fan participation.
Go figure....
Arcata, California # 1
That list is as credible as a Norm Chow recruiting pitch.
